Where are we locatedWe are located in Monroe Harbor on the North Harbor Dock about 100 yards north of the Chicago Yacht Club at the intersection of Monroe and Dusable Lake Shore Drive. Please send me a text to 773 791 7090 when you are getting close and I will flag you down. If you are driving to the harbor, Many have success parking with the Spot Hero app, or you can try Dusable Harbor parking, but this is closed sometimes on busy days. Your best bet is to park in the Millennium Park Garage located underground at the intersection of Columbus and Monroe streets. Park in the south east lot. Exit the parking garage on foot at the far south east corner and you will come out at the intersection of Monroe street and Dusable Lake Shore Drive, turn left and walk 100 yards following the bend and the first dock you come to is where we will meet. Do not go to the Chicago Yacht Club. If you pass the large blue and white ship, you've gone way too far

What Should I Wear? Some days it’s warm and sunny on shore, but out on the water with wind over the deck, the temperature drops quickly. Before you know it, your favorite t-shirt isn’t keeping you warm and you’ll have to take out a windbreaker. To accommodate temperature changes, we recommend bringing clothes that layer well and are comfortable while sailing. Basically, check the weather for that day a couple hours before you head out and adjust accordingly. Remember it is usually 5 to 10 degrees cooler out on the lake. Wear comfortable shoes with good grip on a wet surface. No high heels please.
-
What is Provided? We provide a great time sailing! Also, cups, and a cooler. Feel free to bring anything you would like to eat or drink. In addition, you can plug your phone into the stereo and play your favorite music. If you have a lot to keep cool, you can bring your own cooler and ice.
-
What about the weather? We sail in all kinds of weather and we constantly watch conditions. If there is a lack of wind, we can use the engine to keep us moving. If it’s blowing like crazy and still safe we will go out and offer an exciting sailing experience.
-
Cancelations due to weatherWe will sail in most conditions including sporadic light rain, wavy and cold temperatures. We will cancel a charter due to extreme weather conditions such as lightning, big waves, excessive wind, or constant rain. We will do everything we can to make your cruise depart as planned, but safety is our top priority.
-
Is smoking allowed?Yes, if no other passengers object. Please ask your Captain before smoking.
-
Should I bring drugs? No drugs please! We have a zero tolerance drug policy.
-
Can I Bring Alcohol?Feel free to bring an adult beverage, or anything you would like to eat or drink during your cruise. Keep in mind that you are on the water and safety is our top priority, so please drink responsibly. We provide one bag of ice, a cooler, and all the cups you’ll need. Need more? Contact us to let us know your needs for your upcoming sailboat charter and we will do our best to accommodate you and your guests.
-
Is there a bathroom?Yes. Our boats are fully equipped with bathrooms.
-
When should I arrive? Please arrive 15 minutes before your charter. Traffic in Chicago can be heavy and unpredictable. Although we allow enough time between each cruise and lesson to allow for slip-ups, we intend to start and end each trip right on time.
