  • Where are we located
We are located near the Columbia Yacht Club on F Dock in DuSable Harbor. If you are arriving by taxi or walking, the street address for DuSable Harbor is 490 E. Lower Randolph. This is where Lower Randolph street meets the lake. 25 yards east of the concession stand, there are a series of black dock gates with letters on them. Please wait at the 2 wooden picnic tables set up directly in front of F Dock where we will collect you. If you are driving to the harbor, Many have success parking with the Spot Hero app, or you can try Dusable Harbor parking, but this is closed sometimes on busy days. You can also park in the Millennium Park Garage located underground at the intersection of Columbus and Monroe streets. Park in the south east lot. Exit the parking garage on foot at the far south east corner and you will come out at the intersection of Monroe street and Lake Shore Drive. This is about a 10 minute walk, so budget your time. After you cross lake shore drive, turn left to walk north and follow the bending walk path. Do not go to the Chicago Yacht Club. You will see the large blue and white ship just ahead as you walk around the bend. This is the Columbia Yacht Club. Just past the ship is a series of docks each with a letter. Please wait at the 2 wooden picnic tables set up directly in front of F Dock where we will collect you. If for some reason you decided not to follow the directions and find your self on Upper Randolph, please note this is a dead end. There is a stairwell located on the north side of the street near 300 East Upper Randolph. Take this down one level and walk out to the lake.
  • What Should I Wear?
Some days it’s warm and sunny on shore, but out on the water with wind over the deck, the temperature drops quickly. Before you know it, your favorite t-shirt isn’t keeping you warm and you’ll have to take out a windbreaker. To accommodate temperature changes, we recommend bringing clothes that layer well and are comfortable while sailing. Basically, check the weather for that day a couple hours before you head out and adjust accordingly. Remember it is usually 5 to 10 degrees cooler out on the lake. Wear comfortable shoes with good grip on a wet surface. No high heels please.
  • What is Provided?
We provide a great time Sailing! Also, cups, ice, and a cooler, will be provided. In addition, you can plug your phone into the stereo and play your favorite music If you have a lot to keep cool or need extra cocktail ice please let us know in advance and we will supply extra ice at no charge.
  • What about the weather?
We sail in all kinds of weather and we constantly watch conditions. If there is a lack of wind, we can use the engine to keep us moving. If it’s blowing like crazy and still safe we will go out and offer an exciting sailing experience.
  • Cancelations due to weather

We will cancel a charter due to extreme weather conditions such as lightning, big waves, excessive wind, or constant rain. We will do everything we can to make your cruise depart as planned, but safety is our top priority.

  • When should I arrive?
